Some healthcare providers make use of the so called two-step verification. Below you will find an explanation of the way this works.
Explanation two-step verification
Two-step verification can be used as an extra security measure. In Karify this means that you have to fill in a code that has been sent to your mobile phone, after submitting the usual email address and password. Suppose someone has your login credentials, this person will not be able to log into your account without your mobile phone.
How does it work?
Your healthcare provider decides whether the two-step verification is used or not.
When you log into Karify, first you fill in your username (email address) and password.
When your care provider uses two-step verification, you will subsequently receive a text message with a code on your mobile phone. This code is valid for 30 minutes.
- You don't have a mobile phone number? Then you will receive the code on your email address.
- When you have a landline phone number you will receive a text message on this number. Some telephone providers will convert this to a voice message.
How do I enter my phone number in Karify?
When you log in to the Healthspace you will be asked for your phone number. Enter your phone number. Click here for instructions on how to change your phone number. Subsequently you can choose to add the phone number to your profile.
